Carnevale is a small scale skirmish game focused on freedom of movement combined with brutal combat and impressive magical abilities. Jump from rooftop to rooftop to hunt your opponent's gang, or dive deep into the canals to drown your enemies. A truly narrative skirmish game, Carnevale is about telling a story within the weird world of Venice under the Rent in the sky. Join one of seven different factions, raise your gang, and fight for your corner of the City of Canals. With an emphasis on narrative gameplay that is truly three-dimensional, capturing the winding streets of Venice full of ancient horrors, Old Gods, sociopathic Doctors, and many more, this is a game unlike any other you have played.

Having survived the destruction of Rome during the great catastrophe, Cardinal Gerdil become Pope Clement XV. The new Pope started his reign by beginning the persecution of all those Gifted with Rent magic.
